Ethics Week (or Ethics Awareness Week) is an opportunity for all University System of Georgia institutions to highlight ethics on each respective campus. Keynote speaker Steve Cohn will share insight about expectations and best practices for building community with a hybrid workforce to support ethical decision making and prevent employee alienation. Steve Cohn helps people and companies have better more productive relationships. Steve has spent much of his professional career studying the way people communicate with each other and how their actions affect their businesses, their relationships, and their environments.

Picture a Scientist Screening & Panel Discussion

Georgia Tech will host a screening of the Emmy-nominated documentary Picture a Scientist. The documentary highlights gender inequality in science and tells the stories of prominent female researchers. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring members of the Georgia Tech community sharing their own stories and experiences as women in STEM.
Staff, faculty, and community members with an interest in making STEM fields more divers, equitable, and open to all are invited to join us in this shared experience.

Faculty and Staff Reminders: 2022 Annual Compliance Training
The 2022 Annual Compliance Training will help Georgia Tech employees exercise sound ethical judgement, act with integrity and transparency, and understand their responsibility for the University System of Georgia (USG) and Institute's policies and compliance obligations.
Beginning October 17, all active employees (faculty, staff, Tech Temps, retired-but-working, and student employees) hired on or before October 3, 2022, are required to complete this year's training modules:
- Effective Global Engagement
- Export Control and Trade Compliance
- External Activity Reporting and Conflict of Interest/COI Attestation
- Identifying and Responding to Sexual Misconduct
- Data Excellence
- University System of Georgia (USG) Ethics Training
- Cybersecurity Awareness Training/2022 Your Role: Internet Security and You.
The Annual Compliance Training can be found at Georgia Tech Employee Learning Portal (choose the GT Login). The Annual Compliance Training can be completed on a desktop or laptop. This year's training includes more modules than in previous years and you should set aside up to 2.5 hours to complete all the training. It does not need to be finished at one time and the deadline to complete the training has been extended to December 19, 2022.
